North East Grape Pickers (North East, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Erie First Christian Academy (Erie, PA), 48-42 in a league bout.

With the win, North East upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Grape Pickers host Union City (Union City, PA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Union City won 66-52 in their recent non-league bout against Iroquois (Erie, PA)

Next up, the clash with the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 13. Erie First Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
