The Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) basketball nipped the visiting Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME), 41-39 in Wednesday's league test.
The Blue Devils (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Orono (Orono, ME). The Riots go into the C North test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Orono was tipped by Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME), 74-21, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Mattanawcook for a C North test on Friday, December 29. Sumner will encounter a Lynx squad coming off a 39-38 league win over Dexter (Dexter, ME). The Lynx record now stands at 6-0.
