The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the visiting South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC), observed Mount Pleasant's basketball team overwhelm South Rowan by a score of 80-49.

The Tigers (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Knights come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Gray Stone Day trounced South Davidson (Denton, NC), 55-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Friday, January 3. South Rowan will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 68-65 non-league loss to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC).
