The Schaumburg Saxons basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Elk Grove Grenadiers to 24 in the Saxons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Saxons now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Willowbrook for a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. Schaumburg will confront a Warriors team coming off a 44-40 non-league loss to De La Salle (Chicago, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, Elk Grove falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Grenadiers travel to Normal University (Normal, IL) to confront the Pioneers in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Pioneers go into the game with a record of 2-11. Normal University lost 49-26 in their recent non-league game against Eureka (Eureka, IL)
