The Liberty Minutemen basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Alleghany Mountaineers to 64 in the Minutemen non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Minutemen now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alleghany for a non-league contest on Monday, January 2.

The Mountaineers (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Grayson County was nudged by Narrows (Narrows, VA), 43-36, in a non-league contest.
