The McDowell Trojans basketball team scored 76 points and restricted the visiting General McLane Lancers to 45 in the Trojans league victory on Thursday.

The Trojans now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Erie for a District 10 Region 7 contest on Friday, January 5. McDowell will battle a Royals team coming off a 73-62 non-league win over North Allegheny (Wexford, PA). The Royals record now stands at 5-2.

The Lancers (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Meadville (Meadville, PA). The Bulldogs come into the District 10 Region 7 contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Meadville was routed by New Castle (New Castle, PA), 77-69, in a non-league contest.
