The Hoover Buccaneers basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Hazel Green Trojans to 29 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Buccaneers now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rogers for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Hoover will battle a Rams team coming off a 46-45 non-league win over Lee (Huntsville, AL). The Rams record now stands at 7-3.
The Trojans (16-4) will now prepare for their contest against Carver (Columbus, GA). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Carver was defeated by Hardaway (Columbus, GA), 60-50, in a non-league contest.
