The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) and the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), observed Alamogordo's basketball team knock off Mayfield by a score of 63-55.
The Tigers (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM). The Sundevils come into the non-league challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Espanola Valley prevailed over Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM), 55-51, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 2. Mayfield will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 72-44 non-league win over Goddard (Roswell, NM).
