In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Jonesboro Hurricane basketball team scored a close 68-61 triumph over the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats.

The Hurricane (14-1) will now prepare for their contest against Blytheville (Blytheville, AR). The Chickasaws go into the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Blytheville nipped Osceola (Osceola, AR), 79-77, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Charging Wildcats battle the Central Tigers (Little Rock, AR) in a 6A Central contest, on Tuesday, January 7. North Little Rock will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 9-7 record after their 64-30 non-league win over Conroe (Conroe, TX).
