The Rockport-Fulton Pirates basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Taft Greyhounds to 35 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now have a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Ingleside for a 4A Region IV District 30 game on Friday, January 3. Rockport-Fulton will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 38-27 non-league win over Goliad (Goliad, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-9.

With the loss, Taft falls to 14-9 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Odem (Odem, TX) to confront the Owls in a 3A Region IV District 29 game on Friday, January 3. The Owls go into the game with a record of 8-15. Odem lost 57-15 in their recent league game against George West (George West, TX)
