The Ball Tornadoes basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Friendswood Mustangs to 30 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iowa Colony for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Ball will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 58-44 non-league win over Milby (Houston, TX). The Pioneers record now stands at 17-1.

The Mustangs (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Angleton (Angleton, TX). The Wildcats enter the 5A Region III District 18 contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Angleton ran past Fort Bend Kempner (Sugar Land, TX), 69-37, in a non-league contest.
