The Carson Cougars basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the visiting East Rowan Mustangs to 67 in the Cougars non-league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host A.L. Brown for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Carson will battle a Wonders team coming off a 82-42 league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wonders record now stands at 1-8.

The Mustangs (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against North Rowan (Spencer, NC). The Cavaliers come into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, North Rowan dropped by West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC), 66-52, in a non-league contest.
