In Thursday's non-league outing, the Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL) basketball squad beat the host East Alton-Wood River Oilers (Wood River, IL), by a margin of 62-54.
The Purple Panthers (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Mt. Olive (Mt. Olive, IL). The Wildcats go into the non-league outing with a 0-10 record.
The Oilers now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Breese Central for a Cahokia - Mississippi outing on Friday, January 6.
