Virginia High School Basketball - South County nudges Washington-Liberty

In Thursday's non-league outing, the South County Stallions (Lorton, VA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA), by a margin of 54-48.

The Stallions (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Woodson (Fairfax, VA). The Cavaliers go into the District 4 outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Woodson was tipped by William Allen (Allentown, PA), 58-47, in a non-league outing.

The Generals now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they host George C. Marshall for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 3. Washington-Liberty will clash with a Statesmen squad coming off a 54-39 non-league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Statesmen record now stands at 8-1.
