South County Stallions (Lorton, VA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA), 51-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South County upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Stallions host Hayfield (Alexandria, VA) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Hayfield won 64-59 in their recent non-league bout against Woodside (Newport News, VA)

Next up, the Generals play the Centreville Wildcats (Clifton, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Washington-Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 59-25 non-league win over Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA).
