The George Rogers Clark Cardinals (Winchester, KY) basketball nipped the host Madison Central Indians (Richmond, KY), 54-50 in Friday's non-league test.

The Cardinals (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Paris (Paris, KY). The Greyhounds go into the District 40 test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, Paris was tipped by Webb (Knoxville, TN), 67-58, in a non-league test.

The Indians now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Paul Laurence Dunbar for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 2. Madison Central will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 65-38 non-league loss to Eastern (Louisville, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-7.
