Lamoille Lancers (Hyde Park, VT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host North Country Union Falcons (Newport, VT), 47-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lamoille upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Lancers host U-32 (Montpelier, VT) to play the Raiders in a Capital bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-1. U-32 won 60-46 in their recent non-league bout against Mount Anthony (Bennington, VT)

Next up, the Falcons play the Harwood Highlanders (Moretown, VT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. North Country Union will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 58-37 non-league win over Middlebury (Middlebury, VT).
