The Wolfe County Wolves basketball team scored 82 points and held the host Magoffin County Hornets to 68 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wolves now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Russell for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Wolfe County will meet a Red Devils team coming off a 65-57 non-league win over Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Red Devils record now stands at 4-4.

The Hornets (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Estill County (Irvine, KY). The Engineers enter the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Estill County was outscored by Russell (Russell, KY), 65-57, in a non-league contest.
