Alabama High School Basketball - Wellborn thwarts Woodland

The Wellborn Panthers (Anniston, AL) basketball knocked off the visiting Woodland Bobcats (Woodland, AL), 50-33 in Friday's non-league test.
The Panthers (2-10) will now prepare for their test against Piedmont (Piedmont, AL). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Area 11 test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Piedmont went down by Sardis (Boaz, AL), 51-47, in a non-league test.
The Bobcats now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Ranburne for a 2A Area 9 test on Friday, January 5. Woodland will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 71-38 non-league loss to Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-11.
