Illinois High School Basketball - Mendon Unity can't hold off Brown County

The Brown County Hornets basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Mendon Unity Mustangs to 58 in the Hornets non-league victory on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Calhoun/Brussels for a Western Illinois Valley contest on Wednesday, January 3.

The Mustangs (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Illini West (Carthage, IL). The Chargers come into the non-league contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Illini West was nudged by Havana (Havana, IL), 39-37, in a non-league contest.
