Nebraska High School Basketball - Cross County nudges Superior

December 29, 2023: Stromsburg, NE 68666

Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE), 62-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cross County upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Central City (Central City, NE) to clash with the Bison in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Bison go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Central City won 42-26 in their recent non-league bout against Fairbury (Fairbury, NE)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE) in a C2 District 2 bout, on Friday, January 5. Superior will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 57-52 non-league win over Lourdes Central Catholic (Nebraska City, NE).
