Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL), 70-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lyons upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Lions travel to Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 9-6. Hersey won 37-33 in their recent non-league bout against Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL)

Next up, the Knights play the Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Lincoln-Way Central will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 37-33 non-league loss to Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL).
