In Sunday's league contest, the host Sayreville Bombers basketball team scored a close 58-54 triumph over the Woodbridge Barrons.
The Bombers (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Union (Union, NJ). The Farmers go into the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Union was tipped by Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, NJ), 54-45, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Barrons battle the Perth Amboy Panthers (Perth Amboy, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 2. Woodbridge will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 56-55 non-league win over East Brunswick (East Brunswick, NJ).
