Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Leander Lions (Leander, TX), 43-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Vandegrift improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Vipers travel to Argyle (Argyle, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 3. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Argyle won 61-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Vista Ridge (Cedar Park, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 6. Leander will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Vipers come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 51-39 non-league loss to Argyle (Argyle, TX).
