Waubonsie Valley Warriors (Aurora, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Oswego Panthers (Oswego, IL), 53-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Waubonsie Valley upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Bolingbrook won 79-62 in their recent non-league bout against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the West Aurora Blackhawks (Aurora, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Oswego will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 64-60 league loss to Yorkville (Yorkville, IL).
