Vermilion Sailors (Vermilion, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sandusky Blue Streaks (Sandusky, OH), 40-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Vermilion upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Sailors travel to Steele (Amherst, OH) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Monday, December 5. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Steele lost 56-41 in their recent league bout against Avon (Avon, OH)

Next up, the Blue Streaks play the Clyde Fliers (Clyde, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - Lake bout, on Friday, December 16. Sandusky will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
