In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Long Beach Bearcats basketball team scored a close 34-30 triumph over the Gautier Gators.

The Bearcats (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS). The Panthers go into the 6A Region 4 contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Pascagoula was tipped by Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS), 48-46, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Gators battle the East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) in a 5A Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Gautier will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 52-16 non-league loss to Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS).
