In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Christiansburg Blue Demons basketball team scored a close 42-36 triumph over the William Byrd Terriers.
The Blue Demons (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Cavaliers go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Carroll County was tipped by Pulaski County (Dublin, VA), 60-8, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Terriers confront the Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, December 4. William Byrd will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
