The Charleston Trojans basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Mattoon Greenwave to 45 in the Trojans non-league victory on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Casey-Westfield for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Charleston will battle a Warriors team coming off a 62-58 non-league loss to Greencastle (Greencastle, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 8-4.
The Greenwave (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Pana (Pana, IL). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Pana was defeated by Greenville (Greenville, IL), 57-35, in a non-league contest.
