Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers (Houston, PA), 59-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fort Cherry upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Rangers host Frazier (Perryopolis, PA) to play the Commodores in a WPIAL 2A 4 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Commodores come into the bout with a record of 1-9. Frazier lost 55-48 in their recent non-league bout against California (Coal Center, PA)

In their next game, the Buccaneers face the Frazier Commodores (Perryopolis, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 4 game, on Friday, January 6. Chartiers-Houston will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record.
