The Fort Cherry Rangers basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers to 48 in the Rangers league triumph on Friday.

The Rangers now sport a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carmichaels for a WPIAL 2A 4 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Fort Cherry will meet a Mighty Mikes team coming off a 48-39 league win over Frazier (Perryopolis, PA). The Mighty Mikes record now stands at 12-8.

With the defeat, Chartiers-Houston moves to 15-5 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA) to meet the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 7. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 11-8. Serra Catholic won 77-55 in their recent league match against Riverview (Oakmont, PA)
