Milton Black Panthers (Milton, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA), 54-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Milton upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Black Panthers host Selinsgrove (Selinsgrove, PA) to clash with the Seals in a Heartland I bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Seals go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Selinsgrove lost 64-22 in their recent non-league bout against Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA)

Next up, the Defenders clash with the Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA) in a Heartland III bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Warrior Run will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 47-34 non-league win over Sullivan County (Laporte, PA).
