Milton Black Panthers (Milton, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA), 57-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Milton upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Black Panthers host Hughesville (Hughesville, PA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 9-11. Hughesville lost 62-43 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA)

Next up, the Defenders play the Lewisburg Green Dragons (Lewisburg, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. Warrior Run will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Green Dragons come into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 69-61 non-league loss to Central Mountain (Mill Hall, PA).
