The Port Aransas Marlins basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Three Rivers Bulldogs to 44 in the Marlins league victory on Friday.

The Marlins now sport a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kenedy for a 2A Region IV District 31 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Port Aransas will battle a Lions team coming off a 46-41 league loss to Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX). The Lions record now stands at 1-11.

The Bulldogs (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Yorktown (Yorktown, TX). The Wildcats come into the 2A Region IV District 31 contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Yorktown dropped by Shiner (Shiner, TX), 44-27, in a non-league contest.
