With the victory, Bowie upgrades its record to 16-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Westlake (Austin, TX) to play the Chaparrals in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Chaparrals come into the bout with a record of 10-10. Westlake lost 58-30 in their recent league bout against Austin (Austin, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Akins will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 50-41 league loss to Bowie (Austin, TX).
