Campbell Indians (Campbell, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Celeste Blue Devils (Celeste, TX), 37-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Campbell upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Indians host Fannindel (Ladonia, TX) to confront the Falcons in a 1A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Fannindel lost 49-41 in their recent league challenge against Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy (Greenville, TX)

Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Honey Grove Warriors (Honey Grove, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Celeste will attempt to improve on its 8-13 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 43-27 league loss to Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX).
