Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL), 61-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fieldcrest upgrades its record to 16-0 on the season. The Knights travel to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL) to play the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 14-0. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central won 54-45 in their recent non-league bout against Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL)

Next up, the Hornets play the LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) in a Heart Of Illinois bout, on Monday, January 2. Eureka will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 62-46 non-league win over Meridian (Macon, IL).
