The Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls basketball team scored 89 points and held the visiting Asbury Park Bishops to 24 in the Garnet Gulls league triumph on Saturday.

The Garnet Gulls now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Keansburg for a Shore B - Central contest on Tuesday, January 2. Point Pleasant Beach will battle a Titans team coming off a 69-51 non-league loss to South Amboy (South Amboy, NJ). The Titans record now stands at 1-5.

The Bishops (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Shore Regional (West Long Branch, NJ). The Blue Devils go into the non-league bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Shore Regional overwhelmed Lacey Township (Lanoka Harbor, NJ), 74-66, in a non-league bout.
