North Carolina High School Basketball - Western Alamance nudges Cedar Ridge

December 30, 2023: Elon, NC 27244

Western Alamance Warriors (Elon, NC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves (Hillsborough, NC), 37-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Western Alamance upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Warriors travel to Orange (Hillsborough, NC) to clash with the Panthers in a 3A Central bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Orange lost 61-56 in their recent non-league bout against Broughton (Raleigh, NC)

Next up, the Fighting Red Wolves clash with the Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC) in a 3A Central bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Cedar Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 48-46 non-league win over Halifax County (South Boston, VA).
