The Martin Warriors (Arlington, TX) basketball nipped the host South Grand Prairie Warriors (Grand Prairie, TX), 55-53 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Warriors (9-11) will now prepare for their test against Lamar (Arlington, TX). The Vikings go into the 6A Region I District 8 test with a 8-10 record. In their last test, Lamar was tipped by Midlothian Heritage (Midlothian, TX), 57-54, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 17-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sam Houston for a 6A Region I District 8 test on Tuesday, January 2. South Grand Prairie will encounter a Texans squad coming off a 61-53 non-league loss to Panther Creek (Frisco, TX). The Texans record now stands at 3-15.
