The Bearcats (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Vernon (Vernon, TX). The Lions go into the 3A Region I District 7 contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Vernon nipped Poolville (Poolville, TX), 49-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Bowie Jackrabbits (Bowie, TX) in a 3A Region I District 7 contest, on Friday, January 3. Holliday will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Jackrabbits go into the contest with a 15-7 record after their 47-43 league loss to City View (Wichita Falls, TX).
