The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Seven Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX) and the visiting Mayde Creek Rams (Houston, TX), observed Seven Lakes's basketball team overwhelm Mayde Creek by a margin of 81-52.

The Spartans (20-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Morton Ranch (Katy, TX). The Mavericks come into the 6A Region III District 19 challenge with a 7-10 record. In their last challenge, Morton Ranch was trounced by Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX), 68-56, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Katy Tigers (Katy, TX) in a 6A Region III District 19 challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Mayde Creek will attempt to better on its 10-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 20-3 record after their 57-49 league win over Tompkins (Katy, TX).
