In Monday's non-league outing, the Newman (Boston, MA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Commonwealth Mermaids (Boston, MA), by a margin of 50-13.
The (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against Covenant Christian Academy (West Peabody, MA). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 2-0 record.
The Mermaids now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cambridge for a Massachusetts Bay 2 outing on Friday, December 9.
