Jefferson County Patriots (Dandridge, TN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pigeon Forge Tigers (Pigeon Forge, TN), 64-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jefferson County upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN) to play the Cherokees in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Cherokees go into the bout with a record of 1-2. South-Doyle lost 66-26 in their recent non-league bout against Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN)

Next up, the Tigers play the Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN) in a 2A District 2 bout, on Friday, December 9. Pigeon Forge will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 58-20 league loss to Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN).
