The Taylorville Tornadoes basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs to 46 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Monday.
The Tornadoes now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln for a Apollo contest on Thursday, December 8. Taylorville will meet a Railsplitters team coming off a 64-16 non-league win over Rantoul (Rantoul, IL). The Railsplitters record now stands at 9-0.
The Bulldogs (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Charleston (Charleston, IL). The Trojans enter the Apollo contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Charleston was nudged by Taylorville (Taylorville, IL), 89-20, in a league contest.
