Clarendon Lions (Clarendon, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Marvell Mustangs (Marvell, AR), 69-61 in a league bout.

With the victory, Clarendon upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Brinkley (Brinkley, AR) to play the Tigers in a 1A Region 5 bout on Friday, December 8. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 4-1. Brinkley won 81-40 in their recent league bout against Midland (Pleasant Plains, AR)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) in a 1A Region 5 bout, on Friday, December 8. Marvell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 81-40 league loss to Brinkley (Brinkley, AR).
