Gautier Gators (Gautier, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gautier upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Gators host Poplarville (Poplarville, MS) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Poplarville lost 12-0 in their recent non-league bout against St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, MS)

Next up, the Bearcats clash with the Pascagoula Panthers (Pascagoula, MS) in a 6A Region 4 bout, on Friday, December 8. Long Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 54-27 non-league win over Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS).
