The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 1-14. Calico Rock lost 68-47 in their recent league bout against Viola (Viola, AR)

Next up, the Greyhounds clash with the Valley View Blazers (Jonesboro, AR) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
