The Section Lions basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting North Jackson Chiefs to 44 in the Lions non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ider for a 2A Area 15 contest on Friday, December 8. Section will battle a Hornets team coming off a 75-48 non-league loss to Fyffe (Fyffe, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 4-8.
The Chiefs (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against New Hope (New Hope, AL). The Indians come into the 4A Area 14 contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, New Hope prevailed over Susan Moore (Blountsville, AL), 52-41, in a non-league contest.
