Richland Center Hornets (Richland Center, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wisconsin Heights Vanguards (Mazomanie, WI), 49-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Richland Center upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Hornets host Dodgeville (Dodgeville, WI) to play the Dodgers in a Southwest Wisconsin bout on Friday, December 8. The Dodgers go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Dodgeville lost 66-45 in their recent non-league bout against Sauk Prairie (Prairie du Sac, WI)

Next up, the Vanguards play the Poynette Pumas (Poynette, WI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 7. Wisconsin Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Pumas go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 61-59 non-league win over Parkview (Orfordville, WI).
